The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie

My 2nd time reading this mystery and I enjoyed it much more than the first time through. We have the death of the elderly owner of Styles Manor. We have a fascinating cast of characters and I really enjoyed how Christie handled the narrator, Hastings. A lot like Watson of Sherlock Holmes fame, but Hastings is a lot more animated and directly involved in this mystery because he was staying at stately Styles Manor when the murder occurred. Where does the finger of guilt lie, as many have potential motives for wanting the have the lady of the manor dead. Could it be her maids? Her housekeeper Miss Howard, one of her two children (John or Lawrence), her husband, a household guest, the plot is wonderful and we are kept guessing to the very end. Agatha wrote this book on a bet from her mother – a bet that she could not write a mystery novel and keep anyone from figuring out the killer. Well, mom, you lost that bet!!!
